Plumber Training Courses

Retraining to gain skills which are always in demand is easier than you might think and whether you seek employment or, to be able to start and build your own business the training providers we will put you in touch with, can equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed. Their training courses are designed to fit around your other work / family commitments.

The courses – there are two levels to choose from - are fully structured and comprehensive in scope, including all the training material you’ll need supported by practical training in their state of the art training centres and ultimately, having the opportunity to complete your NVQ on a working development site.

Here’s what you could be learning:

Domestic Plumbing and Heating Installer

  • City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma (6035) in Plumbing Studies
  • BPEC 1999 Water Regulations
  • BPEC NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing and Heating

Professional Plumber

  • City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma (6035) in Plumbing Studies
  • Part P Defined Scope Electrical Qualification
  • BPEC Domestic Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems Certificate
  • BPEC NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing and Heating

And once you have qualified here are some of the things you’ll be doing to earn your living:

  • Installing or maintaining heating systems
  • Repairing sanitation systems
  • Fitting domestic appliances (such as dishwashers)
  • Installing air-conditioning units
  • Fitting bathrooms
  • Emergency repairs

And of course the learning doesn’t need to stop there, with your background as a plumber, you could go on to Renewable Energy or even add Gas Engineering to your skill base.
